Policy Approach
1
Stop The Damage
Find your non-negotiables and stop negotiating. Stopping the damage to this state and the nation is not going to start with those who cause it. The government, and those behind it will always take every inch the individual is willing to give. Cut through the ideological fodder and focus on the tangible changes that exist outside the news cycle and algorithm. If it matters to you, then prioritize resistance over convenience, and courage over fear. There can be no change if all of us as individuals remain passive and obedient every time the opportunity to say no is presented.
2
Repair The Divide
Are we all Created equal and in the image of the same Creator, or not? We need to decide if the human bond is worth protecting and strengthening, or if we would rather participate in its destruction at the behest of the same people who find us easier to manage and manipulate in distinct economic, religious, and political factions. We feel powerless because we are divided, so we may want to reconsider our position on people with whom we will share the same burden of tyranny. If we have no conflict without one being incited, then we have no conflict.
3
Create The Future
Stop accepting the premise that the future is limited to some version of what we have today. How often are we divided arguing over policies and circumstances that we all mutually detest or suffer from? The future is a blank canvas, not an inevitability that we must adapt to. But the outcome depends on the extent to which we are willing to pair our imagination with our free will. It seems there are plenty of people who will happily paint the future for us, and they will also choose the future for our children. Or we can take our canvas and teach our children what real freedom looks like. Reject the premise, offer something new, and pass down the paint brush rather than the rulebook.
Help Me Stop...
Miseducation
-
Year-round School. No school between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Because our children need more time to be kids, not indoctrinated.
-
Tech Teaching. Return to a pen and paper and real instruction rather than an entire day of screens.
-
Standardized Evaluations & Curriculum. End the educational bureaucracy that hinders both teachers and students. The simplicity of learning cannot continue to be lost to government mandate.
Violations of Human Rights
-
Military Intervention. Peace is not found through violating the sanctity of human life. Nor is freedom secured through harm.
-
Foreign Aid. End all foreign aid that does not go directly towards humanitarian efforts and is not distributed directly to the people in need. Our pockets will not be emptied to prop up tyrants, fund conflicts, or to purchase allies.
-
Weapons Sales. End the sale of weapons to any foreign government or private security/military force. The slaughter of millions will no longer be "Made in America."
Unrestrained Development
-
Commercial Development. Ban all commercial development on currently undeveloped land. We must preserve the natural beauty of this state, and this country. And it begins by saying no to the developers who have quickly turned every patch of grass and stand of trees into a residential hellscape, a strip mall, or an industrial complex.
-
Data Centers. No new data centers will be constructed in South Carolina, and any existing data centers will be permanently closed.
-
Road Projects. No new roads or expansion projects until the pitiful roads and highways we already have are fixed.
-
Corporate Ownership. Ban corporate ownership of any single-family dwellings. We will not be in a bidding war with private equity and investment banks for the homes in our communities.
Unchecked Corruption
-
Ports. Create an independent task force outside the Ports Authority to inspect and monitor shipping containers entering and leaving the ports. The long-forgotten hub of trafficking will be forgotten no more.
-
Contracts. A full independent audit of all state and federal contracts with private firms to ensure major political donors are not awarded contracts by the same government officials whose campaigns they fund. Also to ensure the amount allocated for each contract is commensurate with the scope of the project or service.
-
Politics. End all campaign contributions from any individual or entity outside of the state being represented. The future of our state and nation cannot and will not be decided by politicians who are beholden to outside interests.
-
Investments. No person holding public office may trade stocks or maintain investments in any public or private business.
Suffocating Taxes & Fees
-
Property Taxes. Eliminate. It's our property and should never be subject to a government fee in order to keep.
-
Income Taxes. Eliminate. Our labor is not the government's piggy bank.
-
Payroll Taxes. Eliminate. A business should not be penalized for growth and success. Additionally, we would be having an entirely different conversation about wages if the average American could see what the government takes in a single payroll transfer from the business's account to the employee's account. It's double taxation in a single transaction that incites conflict between the employer, who thinks they're paying too much, and the employee, who thinks they're receiving too little. And in between is a thief who contributes nothing to either.
-
Licensing & Permits. End all federal, state, and local licensing and permit fees for small businesses. We cannot operate when the overhead grows every year and the margins keep shrinking. The backbone of the American economy is breaking under the weight of bureaucracy.
Medical Cartels
-
Vaccinations. No person shall be compelled to take a vaccine or receive any medical intervention against their will.
-
Patents. No patents for pharmaceutical companies who receive public funds or use public facilities for the research and development of a new treatment or medicine. If we paid for its creation, we will not accept limitations on its availability to the people who need it.
-
Plant Medicine. No restrictions on the private use of herbal medicines and plant compounds. And no patents on formulas using plant-based compounds. The remedies for health given to us by our Creator are not for sale, nor shall their common access be hindered.
The Police State
-
Surveillance. End the reporting, monitoring, and storage of citizen's private communications and financial transactions. Our privacy will not be traded for the illusion of safety.
-
Audits. No financial audits of taxpayers by the IRS unless there is sufficient evidence of a federal crime to obtain a warrant.
-
Federal Agents. No deployment of federal troops or agents within the United States except in the case of a direct attack by a foreign government on our soil. We will not be ruled through force or intimidated in our communities by our own government.
-
Tech Companies. No federal or state contracts with technology companies to provide user data. And criminalize the sharing of information between the private and public sector without the consent of the individual. Terms of Service agreements will not be considered consent.
-
Real I.D. Repeal the Real I.D. mandate and end any related restrictions or fees.
-
Biometrics. No biometric data will be required or collected to access any public systems or services.
-
Artificial Intelligence. End all public funding for the advancement of A.I. and related autonomous technologies.
-
Police. Ban the use of drones. Eliminate road camera ticketing. Eliminate fines and points system for minor traffic violations. And end investigatory techniques that violate individual sovereignty, including access to private communications, bank statements, and location data. A judges warrant, reasonable suspicion, and probable cause are not blank checks for the infringement upon our liberties.
-
Bond. Bond shall not be denied. We are always innocent until proven guilty.
-
Sentencing. End minimum sentencing and review all cases where a minimum sentence was imposed.
-
Prisons. End the inhumane treatment and conditions within state and federal prisons. Create an independent task force to receive complaints and investigate cases of abuse by corrections officers and between inmates. We do not become less of a human behind the prison walls, and we will not tolerate treatment below the dignity of personhood.
-
Case Reviews. The responsibility of freeing the innocent will no longer fall to a handful of organizations working towards justice. The truth should never be overshadowed by the incentive to win a case or cover a mistake. We will find those who have been wronged and make it right.
-
Deportations. No deportations except in the case where a violent crime is proven in a court of law.
-
Speech. No person can be arrested for speech, out loud, online, or otherwise. It shall not be infringed.
It's Time to Say No.
Freedom is the ability to say no. It is not found in the ability to choose the measure and form of our compliance. And we cannot continue to co-sign with our vote that which we protest in our heart. So say no, and begin to pick up the pieces of your sovereignty that have been trampled on, but by the grace of God remain intact. Because the people are never as powerless as the tyrant tries to make them feel. Never as weak as the abuser wants them to believe. And never too far gone to choose a different path; for themselves, their families, and generations to come. Our "no" today is the freedom that will ring well into the future. The legacy of a people who decided to no longer submit to the hopelessness, control, and dysfunction being deliberately created by an utterly inferior force.
I will be on the ballot this fall. In the only place where I can say no and you have the freedom to choose. Below the list of curated names, with their puppet strings neatly concealed under their collar, is a blank space where you can choose to write the name Jordan Brown for yourself. That is where I will be saying no. No to donors. No to party affiliation. No to the unconstitutional and undemocratic laundry list of requirements for candidates, that is intended to prevent exactly what I seek to do. To break the illusion that we must accept the terms of our presumed surrender to the forces of command and control. I do not surrender...neither my individual autonomy, my children's opportunity, nor my nation. If elected, I will say "no" to the many threats that exist to all three, not in some foreign land, but in the very halls of power that claim to uphold what they seek to destroy. And I will do it with the only weapons that cannot be replicated nor defeated, my words and my sovereignty.

Respectfully,
Jordan R. Brown
